Reconstruction by Peter and Janelle Durham. Original text transcribed from Mellor and Bridgewater’s edition.

Notes

Reconstruction. Section II, part A3 should repeat, so men return to their original position, and part A4 should also repeat to bring the women home. This is clear in the original text, and is further supported by the 6 symbol, which indicates the music is played 6 times through for the second verse of the dance. However, the commercially available music does not allow for this, so we have not done this in our reconstruction.

Recordings. English Dance Master, 1: Very nice.
