Notes

Reconstruction. The instructions seem impossible unless instead of counting 1 2 3 4 from the top, you assign the numbers from the center (which from the top would be 3 1 2 4). This allows the first man to be next to the second woman (as required in IB1), his partner the first woman (as required in IIA1), and the third man (as required in IIB1). It does require tweaking the IIA1 instructions to be to the middle two couples (1 and 2) rather than to 1 and 3 as stated. Both following Playford's numbering, and numbering from the top would be confusing given the text, so I have chosen to give instructions to end, top, middle, and bottom couples.
