Barony of Aquaterra and Canton of Porte de l’Eau

Stanwood, WA

Updated February 14, 2004

The Barony of Aquaterra and The Canton of Porte de l’Eau invite all gentles to a Day of Dance on February 21, A.S. XXXVIII (2004)

This joint effort is Aquaterra’s first - and Porte de l’Eau’s 12th (!) Day of Dance.

We’ll enjoy an afternoon of instruction led by HLS Rhiannon ap Gwynedd and Master Traheaern ap Ieuan, a light feast, and a festive ball to dance the night away!  For those whose feet grow weary there will be room for conversation, a game table or two, and (we hope) a scribal table.

A light buffet feast, prepared under the direction of HE Fiamma the Unquenchable, is available to the first 50 gentles who make reservations with HE Arianne of Falconmoors (mka Ruth Janus, 425/778-2359, Jerand@gte.net)

Music for the ball will be provided by Jouissance - An Tir’s (and possibly the Knowne World’s) finest consort of musicians.

Autocrats: Lady Soelig Sweteglee (mka Shari Peirce, apeirce@surfree.com, 425/252-4324 before 9pm) and HL Eric of Clan Smith (mka Norm Nelson, nnelson@weatherhaven.com)

Site Info: Stillaguamish Grange Hall, 6521 Pioneer Hwy, Stanwood WA - (for this event, a dry site, no lighted or scented candles please) - opens at 11 a.m. on February 21st.  Dance instruction will begin around noon, the feast will be at approximately 6 p.m., and the ball will end at 11 p.m.

Site fee is $7 for SCA members, $10 for non-members, no charge to those under 10yrs of age.  The feast fee is an additional $5 per person, payable at the gate.  Make checks payable to  SCA Inc., Barony of Aquaterra

Directions:  From I-5 north or south take the Stanwood/Camano Island exit #212. Go west on SR532 approx 4.3 mi. to the first traffic light & turn left onto 72nd Av NW.  Go 0.8 mi to the first stop sign & turn left onto Pioneer Hwy.  Go approx 0.5 mi. past the Fairgrounds entrance to the white Grange building.  SCA signs will be posted.
